Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a very serious, but preventable problem that affects thousands of Canadians. It is more common than you think. It can happen in any romantic relationship whether it be amongst a current or former heterosexual or same-sex partner. It does not require sexual intimacy.
IPV is any form of abuse or violence. It could be physical, mental, emotional, harassment, stalking and more.

IPV can vary in the severity and number of times it happens. It can happen frequently or be one episode. Whatever the frequency or severity is, the impact it leaves can have long-lasting effects.
Teen Dating Violence
Dating Violence is just as big of problem amongst teenagers as it is amongst adults. Dating violence occurs amongst two people who are dating, rather than married or common-law partners. One partner tries to have complete control over the other partner by using abuse tactics. Verbal, mental, physical abuse are quite common.
